Unlock Your Potential with Jeff Lerner
Welcome to another episode of Millionaire Secrets!
How do you respond to failure?
If someone tells you that you’re not good enough, what do you do?
In this episode, I speak to Stephen Somers, founder of the award-winning business “Marketplace Superheroes”!
Like a lot of successful entrepreneurs, Stephen’s story begins with failure.
At age 11, he was told by his soccer coach that he wasn’t good enough and that he’d never make the team.
Stephen refused to accept this outcome.
He spent an entire summer practicing with a tennis ball to improve his skills and when he returned to school the next year, he made the team. Not only that, but he went on to become the top player in his county!
Talk about a 180!
But why was Stephen so driven?
What made him so resilient to criticism?
It was his ATTITUDE!
The same attitude that makes him such a great entrepreneur!
If you know deep down that someone is wrong about you, you have to PROVE THEM WRONG!
And that’s what Stephen’s been doing ever since.
In his early twenties, he started looking for ways to make money online.
He was introduced to a family friend who was also interested in eCommerce.
They started working together, selling products online, and they’re still in business nearly 11 years later!
AMAZING!
Not many people are able to start something and see it through like Stephen.
The world is full of people who tried and failed and then never tried again.
But Stephen kept pushing.
Just like he did with the tennis ball during that summer as a teenager.
Stephen Somers is living proof that you should never give up, and that you should always follow your instincts!
Listen now to find out how you can do the same!

This book is exactly what I've been looking for. As a budding entrepreneur, I've found that I've been full of great ideas but unsure how to actually turn them into a profitable business. From developing the right mindset to building a business plan to promoting what I'm doing - it's all here in this book in easy to understand step-by-step instructions. The book even has clickable links with downloadable checklists to help you stay organized and on track. Overall this is such a great resource.

I didn't know what to expect when I picked up this book. I've read some interesting and worthwhile books on starting a business, then I've read some that weren't worth the time. This one is squarely in the former catagory.
For those people who have never started a business and are interested in doing so, this would be a good place to start. It would be good not just to validate their ideas, but also to ensure they don't forget anything. I have an MBA and have a side gig that I run myself, and have dabbled in starting some businesses. I have written a business plan, applied for funding, been a general manager of a startup, and I can tell you that what the author discusses in this book is quite pertinent and on task.
I especially liked the checklists at the end of each chapter and the "how to get a business going in 30 days."
For someone with no idea where to start, this would work well!

This is an excellent book on starting a business for beginners. Walter Grant speaks often about preparation and planning, this is an essential part of starting a business. Sure, problems and roadblocks are guaranteed to emerge, but if you have a roadmap, you’ll be in a much better position to tackle them. I like that there are templates to get started and that they allow you to see where you may be lacking information, bandwidth, or proper funding. I appreciate the chapter “Set Up Your Team.” If you do the business plan properly, you’ll see that starting a business is an immense undertaking. Having the right team in place is critical, and this chapter has a lot of great advice on building that team. While you could do this in 30 days, I’d say take your time and do it right. Fully understand the risks of starting your own venture and make sure your idea is a viable business.
Excellent advice for start ups and new business owners

This book offers great advice for those seeking to start up a new company. It was laid out in an easy to read manner with lots of pragmatic instructions. The book begins with an entrepreneurial mindset checklist with such things as: finding one's passion, getting comfortable with risk, and being driven by one's vision. The author gets into the nitty-gritty of forming a business by discussing the executive summary - the quick overview of the business plan. This includes such things as: the problem you're trying to solve for your customers, the solution summary, the competition, the marketing summary, financial forecasts, etc. Overall, this is a great read with practical advice for starting a company. Recommend!

I might use it to start my biz
Reviewed in the United States on March 28, 2020
I liked reading this book. It is very informative providing ideas, examples, samples, etc. I haven't "test" it yet, but I am considering to follow it to start my biz. I tried several forms and I always get tired or confused or too "lonely". It appears this book's content could give me the hand I have been looking for.
I also liked that it is well written, with enough white space, the font is large enough to read it comfortable, in addition to the good content.
You have to read it and based on your biz then it might work or not, but only you can decide that. I can tell you that this book is the best but it might not be for you. Let us know if it worked for you and if you would change, add, or remove something.
Yes, the author asked me to provide a review, which I did and honestly I am telling you that it is a good tool with biz content. :-)

I am a solopreneur so Starting a Business a 7-step System to Successfully Launch Your Own Business in 30 Days caught my interest. This was a quick read that packed a BIG punch with all of the helpful information.
I appreciated an entire chapter on mindset because I think this is where most people can stumble. The book is worth the read for this alone. but there's other good stuff too, from writing a business plan to financing it and selling to growing a business.
I also really liked the 30-day game plan as the last chapter. This made all of the steps workable instead of being intimidating and overwhelming. This is going to make a difference to so many aspiring entrepreneurs.
I highly recommend this book.
