Who are we?
ENTRE Institute is an online education company that's on a mission to disrupt the traditional education system and usher a new generation of ‘ENTREpreneurs’ into the world. We provide our students with the complete ecosystem they need to learn how to become a successful entrepreneur, including digital courses, coaching, business accelerators, community, tools, events, and more.
Today’s interview for the Millionaire Secrets podcast is with Evan Carmichael - motivational speaker, entrepreneur, and investor. You probably already know Evan from his wildly successful Youtube channel - which has over 2.6 million subscribers.
We get straight into the juicy stuff today and address Evan's core mission in life.
Mission: save the people of the world from their #1 problem:
Lack of self-belief
Evan is certain that everyone has within them a key talent. Something that makes them the Michael Jordan of their chosen field. He believes that everyone can be the best in the world at something.
The problem is...most people don't believe that about themselves.
Enter Evan.
He's dedicated his life to helping as many people as he can to cross the bridge to success and happiness.
Evan is different from other motivational coaches and trainers out there.
Someone like Tony Robbins focuses on helping those people that already believe in their dreams. Evan focuses his love and attention on the bottom 20% - the negative people.
The complainers.
The people that think and believe they were born to always fail and never achieve their dreams.
This is what makes Evan special.
His patience and compassion for helping those people that are sometimes written-off as…
...no-hopers.
I think we all visit this dark corner of our personality sometimes. When things aren't going so well and life seems to be getting the better of us.

Gigworker: Independent Work and the State of the Gig Economy Paperback – April 2, 2021
by Brett Helling (Author)
4.6 out of 5 stars
You've probably heard of the gig economy, but you might be wondering what exactly it is. It's easy to think that working on Uber and renting your home via Airbnb is the only limit to possibilities, but the gig economy actually provides many more possibilities. If you're working an 8-to-5 job and trying to make extra cash, or newly graduated and want to make as much money as you'd like in your own schedule The gig economy could give you the flexibility and freedom that you're looking for.
The book The Gigworker series, Brett Helling offers a comprehensive overview regarding the gig economy, what it was like before it got to the point it is at today and where it's going in the near future. He'll demonstrate that it's possible to supplement your full-time earnings with several gigs, or to balance working a 9-to-5 schedule with a 5-9 side job. You'll leave with a new enthusiasm to the gig economy and eager to explore the possibilities available to you and earn money doing the things you like to do.
What an Incredible Read for Anyone looking to expand their knowledge on the Gig Economy

I have known of Brett and been following his journey back when he launched his website, Ridester. I can recall his stories of when he was an Uber driver - he even once almost inspired me to take on the gig a role as a driver for Uber/Lyft. For some unknown reason, I never did. Needless to say, I wish he had published this book when the inspiration came to me at the time, as it would've alleviated many of my concerns and answered multiple of my "what if" questions that I had and had no resource for. I could've easily asked, but at the time, I think I didn't know what questions were the most important to ask.
As an entrepreneur, I resonated with a lot of what he shared as I feel being a contractor and taking on gigs can have a similar lifestyle as you create your own hours/workload. You have to be accountable for the tasks you complete but also remember to take care of yourself simultaneously, which he touches on in the last chapter and I deeply appreciated it.
If you have any questions as to whether getting involved as a contractor within the Gig Economy is for you, purchasing this book will provide immense value and information. Brett gives you a clear vision and experienced and expert perspective as to what it entails to work as a contractor for many of the growing options of whom you can work with, within the gig economy.

Great for both amateur and experienced freelancers

This book is a must-read for anyone interested in starting a side hustle or jumping feet-first into the gig economy. Brett does a great job explaining the evolution of the gig, its current state, and mistakes that you can make (and would have, had you not read this book) as a freelancer/gigworker.
It's clear that Brett has been involved in various gigs for some time, and I appreciate the way he shares both his successes and failures to show you exactly what's in store for any aspiring freelancer. Most importantly, I enjoyed the part about failed companies and things to look out for before you commit to a gig.
One example that comes to mind is that a dog walker was bit by a dog (of course), and the company did not pay any of his medical bills. I'm sure the casual observer wouldn't have thought of that before signing up, and arms the reader with a particular mindset while considering gigs.
Overall, the book was well-written and informative. Unlike other books that I've read, there's no fluff, but rather facts, helpful tips, directions to go with your career, and the honest truth that the gig economy has the ability to make you rich, but only with years of extremely hard work.
Quick Summary: Brett's book show you how to get one step closer to quitting your day job in favor of financial freedom without lying to you that it'll be easy or trying to sell you a course.

Gigworker highly recommended!!!!

“Gigworker” by Brett Helling is a first-hand account of the author’s discovery to and journey through the gig economy.
The beginning of the book discusses the drudgery and unfulfillment that can come along with a 9 to 5, full-time job. The missed time with family, the mental exhaustion, the daily commute, office drama, demanding bosses and clients, etc.
The author takes us on a journey of his anxieties about leaving behind the security of a regular 9 to 5 job, i.e., the security, the benefits, the regular paycheck, etc., and what it would mean to lose those perks to trade it in for being your own boss, making your schedule, setting your own hourly rates, and a better work/life balance.
The next part of the book touches on the current state of the gig economy and how the arrival of COVID-19 had an impact on the gig economy and caused it to exponentially grow.
The author sprinkles different facts, statistics and first-hand accounts of the different gig economy jobs he has worked, as well as the ones that are currently available for the taking.
The end of the book discusses the author’s opinion on where the gig economy is going and if it will continue into the future as more and more people discover its benefits. People from all walks of life and age ranges are getting into the gig economy…and staying there. So for now, the gig economy doesn’t show any signs of slowing down.
“Gigworker” is highly recommended for those considering joining the gig economy or who are already in in and want to read more tips on how to succeed in it.

This book opened my eyes to the hours I am wasting each day outside of my normal 9-5 job where I could instead be adding more money to my weekly income. This is not only extremely informative, but also incredibly inspirational. If you already make the money you need for today, pick up a gig or two and put that extra income towards your future! I know I sure will after reading this book!!
