White women, this review is for you

(White woman here. In case anyone might think this book is only for people of color, rest assured it’s about the Color of Money 💰)
Imagine you have a brilliant multimillionaire best friend who’s not afraid to call you out on your broke ass decisions.
Now imagine she wrote you a loving, fierce, thoroughly research-backed 288-page letter to get you back on the right path.
That’s exactly what Rachel Rodgers has done with WSABM.
Is it any wonder I bought five copies?
I delivered 2 copies to two of my friends this week, feeling like the millionaire fairy. The three of us immediately started a book club group chat on our phones.
I feel seen at the start of chapter 3. Rachel describes “broke boo” as a full-time professional making $80k/year, raising and chauffeuring her two active children, enjoying a solid loving relationship with her boyfriend. Sounds amazing, right? What’s broke about that? In fact, the description of Broke Boo could describe each member of our mobile book group.
Rodgers explains in no uncertain terms — and demonstrates by recounting her own path to wealth — that the archetypal superwoman (the one who always hears “I don’t know how you do it!”) may simply be the 2021 version of the 1950s housewife.
By giving away our time and energy to support everyone else, we keep white straight men in power, just the way it’s been for centuries.
I’m ready for a change.

If, like me, you know all about Rachel's motivation and the depth behind this title, feel free to skip past chapter 1, which I would call a hype chapter (it's all about why women and people of color need more financial agency and how it is indeed possible).
This is not just a mindset book, as vital as that is, but actual steps to do more in the world in terms of earning, giving back, and growing as a person and a business if you have one. I'm definitely gifting this book to as many womyn in my life as I can.

Rachel Rodgers has created an amazing how-to book on making more money by helping you improve your mindset around money, some actionable tips to use and the loving butt-kicking you need to actually get in gear and get going. She helps you understand not only why women are overwhelmingly not yet making as much or more than their male counterparts but how to help change that statistic and WHY it's so important that we do.
I love her writing style. It's like she's sitting next to you having a latte or glass of wine and just telling it like it is. The information is important and potentially life-changing if you'll let it be but Rachel isn't preachy about it.
If you think you're not "good with money", this book is for you. If you think you can't be a millionaire or make more than a set amount, this book is for you. If you think (or hope) someone else will take care of you and support you financially all your life, this book is for you. If you own a business, this book is for you. If you are an employee, this book is for you. If you are unemployed, underemployed or somewhere in between, this book is for you. If you think you're doing "okay" with money, this book is for you. If you are a woman of color, a white woman, an LBGTQ+, or anyone who feels marginalized especially around money, this book is for you.
I will be sharing this book with my adult daughters, my friends and every person I care about and want to see make more money. Women who make money help their communities in the most amazing ways. You owe it to yourself to invest a little money and a little time in this book which can have such a significant impact on you, your family, your community and the world.

The book you didn't know you needed!
Reviewed in the United States on August 15, 2021
What can I say about Rachel Rodgers? We should all be millionaires is her battle cry to women everywhere, to think at a higher level in terms of earning more and building wealth, to make a lasting impact in the community and society at large.
What I love about this book is that Rachel does not advise the typical nonsense to save money. You know, the "stop drinking lattes out and brew your coffee at home" and all the other BS women are advised to do to save money.
Instead, she approaches wealth creation and building from my kind of angle. Don't try to decrease your expenses and remove your small daily pleasures. You need to be looking at increasing your income and earning more!
This is the book that you did not know you needed and I recommended every female over the age of 15 should read this book. Earning more and wealth building is a mindset shift, and saving $5 a day on coffee is not the path to anything!
She also integrates the patriarchal structure of society, and how it is built to keep women broke af, working too damn hard for too little money. We need to be more aware of the systems in place that directly impact our ability to generate revenue. And we must be willing to change what we don't like. From learning the art of negotiation, to outsourcing household help, this book is the foundation for a whole lotta conversations that women need to have with each other.
You cannot change what you don't recognize as problematic. And it's time women stop thinking small. Acquiring wealth requires most of us women to reprogram our thinking, to claim our power. Because, as Rachel says, we should all be millionaires! Start with this book, shift your mindset and apply the principles... that's how you get started!

This book isn’t for you if you just want to get rich quick or without effort and application. It challenges you to set stronger boundaries, hire help and take better care of yourself. That’s not just something that can be achieved overnight, but it is a good plan. There’s lots of big questions at the end of each chapter, and I plan on rereading it with a journal next to me to get the most out of this book.
It culminates with a 10k in 10days challenge, which is about getting focused on finding money (be it through sales, selling stuff around your house, canceling things, negotiating for more money, etc. [Rachel gives you lots of ideas and even the option to revise the goal amount up/down if that feels better for you]) for ten days straight, so if you aren’t willing to even entertain the idea, perhaps this book isn’t for you. I’d recommend trying it before rejecting yourself though.

It is hard to articulate how powerful this book is. Directed at female-identifying and marginalized people, We Should All Be Millionaires is inspirational and exciting.
First off, it takes what we already know about the world, and changes the perspective - that when women have $, they change the world in positive ways - and provides the evidence to back it up.
It shakes up the notion that a six-figure income is enough to go what we want to do in the current economic climate and defines why women CAN be millionaires, SHOULD be millionaires and how building generational wealth is important to the future of our society.
Subsequent chapters include tactical and practical steps and exercises women can and should take to increase income and build wealth that will carry onto future generations. Rachel explains the power of building community, of believing in yourself, and your right to a seat at the table.
You can feel Rachel's energy in every paragraph.
My hardback is filled with flags and notes and I also purchased the audio (not as good, but still) to reinforce the ideas and concepts in my mind.
This should be required reading for every person who is marginalized and identifies as female, if for no other reason than to understand why we should all be millionaires and believe it is possible.

Inspirational, Motivational, and Practical!
Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2021
I listened to this book on Audible after hearing an interview of Rachel Rodgers. It really spoke to me and I instantly went out and bought a hard cover version and listened to her catalog of podcasts. Why is this book so excellent?
It begins with historical background of women in business, women of color in business, and the social-economical barriers women and POC have faced in all areas of finance. Rodgers then discusses the importance of economic power, even today, and how money allows one the freedom to live well and help others. She goes through mindset hurdles and the sometimes subtle ways we self-sabotage and methods to overcome these obstacles to growth.
With this foundation laid, Rodgers launches into practical advice for entrepreneurship such as creating an offer based on your strengths, marketing, hiring employees, and growing. This book is comprehensive- it inspires, motivates, and gives practical advice to begin the path of entrepreneurship and economic independence. I would give this all the stars and not merely 5, if I could!

A very unique take on wealth and wealth building. I’ve read many, many books on wealth building mostly by men. There are tons of books out there on investing, saving, leveraging debt etc, but this book focuses on a mind set shift and I find it invaluable. As an entrepreneur I definitely have not thought so deeply about the responsibilities in my personal life that o can outsource so that I can focus on wealth building. Or how much of the responsibilities I take on as a wife that’s just cooked into my brain unnecessarily. Yes, it’s inspirational but I definitely find it to be much more than that. If you actually follow the advice in the book you’ll have an internal shift that will increase your bottom line. And the incremental increase in income will happen just as it has happened for me. I think some times we expect complicated advice but it’s the simple but powerful choices (if we actually follow through) that changes things. Just to be clear YES this book did help me increase my bottom line. I let go of a contract that was stressful and peanuts, I got clear about what I charge for new contracts and found the courage to move forward with a house flip turned Airbnb with no carpentry skills. I’m hiring out so that I can focus on new clients instead just saving and maintaining the same income and hiring out for house projects that keep me too busy to make money.

I am a business coach and own a marketing agency. I have told all of my clients to buy this book, and at last count 25 people had bought this book!
Most of my clients are members of one or more marginalized community, and the “bootstrap” rhetoric that is found in many business books is harmful. Rodgers acknowledges where the reader is now, and shows folks how to engage with oppression and still get their $h!t done!
I highly recommend this book for folks who are politically active, have guilt around money, etc. I’ve been waiting for a book like this for YEARS that tackles intersectionality.
I appreciate that her advice is applicable and you can take action. This is NOT hand wavey stuff, people!
I was stoked to see the author mention anti-fat bias in the workplace, but then later she quotes BMI as a standard for health. Fun fact, BMI was created by a eugenicist and is not scientifically sound.

What Rachel has here is not just a manual for making more money. It is a motivational manifesto. A therapy session. A permission slip - not just to be our wealthiest selves, but to forgive ourselves for the money stories that have kept us broke, stressed, and overwhelmed. Making money is often overcomplicated. Rachel makes it easy - even if you don't know what your special skill is. That doesn't mean the work isn't hard. But it is very possible. And We Should All Be Millionaires gives you a roadmap to making that possibility your reality, from your first dime to your next dollar to your first thousands to a million. I highly recommend for any woman out there who wants to be able to do more with her life to pick up this book.

It’s a “break down the bs” no nonsense read.
Will you get rich just by reading it? No
Will you feel inspired and ready to meet the challenge presented? Will you want to listen to her podcasts and follow her on Instagram? A loud resounding YES!
This book is worth it - the time you spent to earn the money, the money it costs and the time it takes you to read it.
Even if you claim you didn’t learn anything new (go you!), you’ve supported a woman’s vision, who shared a huge part of her story with you, and even if you don’t know it right now, you’ve been changed. Maybe you’ll even be inspired to caveat and write your own story!

Million Dollar Advice for Black Men, Too!

I read this wonderful work; then recommended it to my daughter. We then discussed it! The father-daughter dialogue, alone, was worth a million dollars. Her life goals are being realigned accordingly, and commensurate with my appreciation for her grasp of new million-dollar thinking and goals. I plan to gift a dozen young females with this book; and, get my son to read it as well. This is a must-read for budding entrepreneurs (and even non-entrepreneurs) alike. As an old school avid non-fiction reader, I had to quickly recognize my need to accept the colorful, in-your-face words, tastefully placed periodically to make important points; and, allow me to decide if I should gift this book to young teens. I concluded that, with their parents’ permission, the message outweighs and enhances the “flava!” Thanks Rachael Rodgers for such an easily digestible, page-turning, motivational and instructive work!

OMG. This is the first time I’ve written an Amazon review, period. Rachel Rodgers has a way with words, and obviously, money. As a girl from a low-income family in NYC myself, I resonated with her down to earth, funny as hell, uplifting tone. It’s beyond refreshing to read a book on financial wellness from a self made Black Woman - she doesn’t gloss over the realities of life with nice sounding spiritual ideas that reject autonomy. She doesn’t paint a rosy picture over the very real obstacles of building wealth as a double, triple, whatever “minority”. Instead, she tackles them head on and teaches us how to do the same. Reading her words brought me to tears several times throughout the book, which I devoured quickly enough yet intentionally paced out so I could savor the experience. I made reading a new chapter each day a part of my daily ritual, felt like I was in therapy with a best friend. I’m someone who has never seen the kind of wealth I want for myself & future generations being held by someone who looks like me. I’ve always had to make the blueprint for anything I’ve ever wanted in life. My default mental mode when it comes to money is scarcity, powerlessness, shame, doubt & fear. She helped me eradicate this trash & turned ME into a believer that I’m capable of making the kind of change in my life that I’ve always dreamed of & knew I deserved. She made it feel less lonely to not be in that place yet. She gave a step by step plan to making it happen. Then, as if that wasn’t enough, she lit the kind of fire under my ass that I’m certain they use to launch rockets with her $10,000 in 10 Days challenge. I’m ready to accept & conquer the challenge so I can be well on my way to making millions by the time I’m 30 (4 years & change, though with her help I’m certain I’ll hit a mil even before then). This book was the best money I ever spent. Treat yourself - buy it, read it, then read it again. Many thanks to Rachel for this gem!

Must read for women entrepreneurs

Part autobiography, part roadmap to success, wholly authentic, and 100% relatable - this book is THE new book for women in business. I read a lot of personal development and business books and run my own 6-figure generating business and I can say without hesitation that there is next-level mentorship between these covers.
Right out of the gate Rachel paints a picture of her humble upbringing and her views on wealth - I felt very in sync with this part. Many of us had a wealthy family member, neighbor, or friend of our parents who seemed to have an abundance of the good life and made it look easy. For those of us driven to start our own businesses, those glimpses of what could be were the hope we needed to light a fire inside of us.
Rachel is a lawyer and you can tell because she brings receipts in the way of FACTS about how the patriarchy - including our government, generational history, societal, and cultural influences only created (something close to) a level playing field for women regarding wealth, property, and independence in the last 50 years. FIFTY YEARS! She does not mince words when she lets us know that white men have a 2,000-year head start on building this level of wealth and influence. That is exactly why this book and her message are so important.
Next she lays out a plan to do the deep, personal work that it takes to build first - a millionaire mindset. She recognizes our need to "have it all" and gives us permission to get there without "doing it all ourselves." Lessons on boundaries abound throughout the book - take heed, this can feel a bit like tough love if the message is new to you. But, Ms. Rodgers isn't spewing out that masculine-success-model touted by her successful male contemporaries (I'm looking at you Gary Vee). Although she's honest about the need to develop some good business chops, she also expresses the importance of forgiveness toward ourselves. I just love it when women in business embrace that we don't have to follow the same rules as the men who built this world. Thank you Rachel!
I love her encouragement to find your millionaire squad and her continued message about eschewing toxic friendships and acquaintances and only spending your time with people who not only support you, but share your drive and understand your vision. There is so much brewing right now in the business world where women can really lift each other up - and hold each other accountable to do better and be better.
Damn it. We SHOULD all be millionaires because getting there will give us a level of access, freedom, and power to create positive change. Read this book. It will challenge you and bring out the best in your ability to map out your future.

When I finished reading WSABM I had chills, I was holding back tears and jumping out of my bed with excitement all at the same time. (How many biz and finance books have you read that has created that big of an impact?) Needless to say, this book as a woman and as a Black woman reminds me that I am literally capable of ANYTHING!
Rachel gives the blueprint of how to build your million dollar empire and life. She get's right to the point, wastes no time and tells us all exactly what we need to hear while helping us to overcome fears, blockages and limiting beliefs then actually guides us to take action towards creating that first million.
The steps are practical, easy to digest, integrate and move forward with. It's like she's holding our hand throughout the process as well all wrap our minds around the truth that we should all be millionaires and it is possible for us all.
No matter where you are on your wealth building journey, what your reasons for building wealth are or who you are this book will enhance your life. Not to mention it's hilarious, it's literally like you're having a girls chat with Rachel and she's telling you how to get all of your sh*t together is the most loving way!
Moral of the story: Purchase the book, give it a read and simply try the steps that she shares :)

Rachel is a Black woman I can admire and model my possibilities after. She knows my fears & struggles and confidently shows me how to move through them to wealth! I love the way she makes ME feel like building wealth and earning more is a radical act of social justice.
